She was head of a secondary school art department with a permanent art teaching position & was also employed as a State Art Examiner for the Department of Education & Sciences.
In 2004 she left teaching to pursue a full time career in fine art. She is known for her slender equine sculptures & more recently her unique figurative pieces. Three of her figure sculptures were included in the Royal Ulster Academy 136th Annual Exhibition. Her work process is quite slow using a resin medium built up gradually & hand modeled over steel armatures, each piece is then painted using hand made oil paints before being embedded into their granite base. Every piece is completely unique with no two pieces ever being identical. Her work is owned by people in America, Europe and Ireland.
