Studied at Edinburgh College of Art until 1975.
1975-1976 Attended Moray House College of Education.
Began career in teaching art to all ages from Nursery to Primary, right through Secondary/High School to adults in Community, and Special Schools, mainly in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
It was a privilege and an inspiration to be involved in working with children and adults in the creative process.
Since leaving teaching in 2013, I have been able to devote more time to my own work, taking my own inspiration from both nature and the built environment, and have exhibited in Scotland and online.
For outdoor work I sketch in pen, ink and watercolour, then take photographs of the subject to be able to further develop my ideas at home in my studio, where I can experiment with different media.
At present my preferred media tends to be watercolour, ink, acrylic, collage and pastels, but that often varies with what influences surround me.
