I am a potter living and working in a small rural village in mid Wales. Clay is my canvas.
I started my journey with clay in 2018 and in 2020 during lockdown bought my first bag of porcelain and it’s now the main clay body in my studio. I love its translucency, marble like finish when high fired and no other clay body comes close to its whiteness and ideal surface to paint on.
My body of work is influenced by my surroundings; the Welsh landscape, stone walls, the wildlife and of course blackbirds.
Most of my work is wheel thrown with the occasional hand built piece.
