I paint figures, faces, and occasionally still life, however, recently I’ve been developing a series of male figure paintings that are inspired by issues relating to male Psychology in the modern world. The paintings are not pre planned, but evolve during the painting process itself and can often involve many layers of paint before the image is resolved.

I like to work on several paintings at a time as for me this ensures that each individual painting maintains its place as part of a greater whole.
