Steven Ferguson

I paint my subjects with attentive observation; they work as a complement and contrast to the abstracted background. My aim is to invite the viewer to absorb the subject, whilst appreciating it as just one part among others, sharing importance with a brush mark, a paint drip, or a splash of colour.

Steven Ferguson is an artist based in East Sussex where he lives with his wife Emma and their two children Leo and Lily.

He has sold his paintings at Greenwich art and craft market in London since 2003.

Steven’s paintings and sculptures can now be found in a number of galleries across the UK.
