Seascapes and memorable places around East Lothian and beyond are my main inspiration. I aim to capture the big skies and changing light that we’re so lucky to have on our Scottish beaches. I hope to take the viewer to those places, to jog a memory, smell the sea air and be transported there.

Trained in design at The Scottish College of Textiles means I’ve always been interested in colour and like to use interesting combinations when trying to convey the play of light and shade.
From my full time studio in East Lothian, right on the shore at Prestonpans, I have a constant but ever changing source of inspiration looking out to The Firth of Forth and beyond,….. but it all depends on the mood of the day.
