Claire Gillie-Thompson is a contemporary artist specialising in floral collage painting. Her painting practice has evolved recently to explore floral designs using a method of tissue paper collage. Working in a bold and expressive manner she builds layers of paint & coloured collage paper which have been personally hand prepared. Using the paper she tears & manipulate shapes to create the idea of petals & brush strokes. Adding more paint and oil pastels on top of the collage creates bright, raw spontaneous floral artworks all unique & striking in their nature.
